54-year-old pedestrian dies in hit-and-run crash at Crosstown Parkway

DEC. 18, 2021 | PORT ST. LUCIE — Port St. Lucie Police responded to a 911 call Dec. 17 at approximately 10:08 p.m. after a passerby saw a pedestrian on the ground at Southwest Crosstown Pkwy and Commerce Centre Dr.
A preliminary investigation discovered a 54-year-old pedestrian was struck by a vehicle in the eastbound lanes of Southwest Crosstown Pkwy and was pronounced dead at the scene. The hit-and-run vehicle did not stay. The police are looking for a white SUV with front-end damage.

UPDATE: DEC. 19, 2021 — Port St. Lucie Police say they have located the driver and vehicle involved in the hit-and-run. More details later in the week.
