St. Lucie County orders masks to be worn by business employees

JULY 9, 2020 | 6:10 P.M. | ST. LUCIE COUNTY–The County Commissioners approved in a 4 to 1 vote an emergency ordinance requiring the mandatory wearing of face coverings for employees working for businesses open to the public in places where social distancing is difficult to do.
The order applies to the entire county.
The order requires all persons working in restaurants, grocery stores, food service, salons, gyms, any retail establishments, or businesses open to the public or any other locations visited by the public, where social distancing is not possible, must wear face coverings. Facial covers are not required but strongly encourage for customers unless a business chooses to implement that requirement.
