‘I Will Not Comply’ Protest Planned in Stuart Over Mask Order

JULY 10, 2020 | 10 A.M. | STUART–A protest is being planned in Stuart over the Martin County Board of Commissioners emergency mandate for masks to be worn in public if social distancing is not available.

The protest is scheduled for 9 a.m., July 11 at the southeast corner of US 1 and Monterey Road.

The organizer, Brittney Mozingo, says commissioners overstepped when they passed the order.

“This mandate is unfounded, unconstitutional, and directly violates our rights as American citizens,” Mozingo writes on the Facebook’s events page.
