MAY 23, 2020 | 1 P.M. | MARTIN COUNTY–Median sale price of single-family homes dropped 3.6 percent year-over-year to $352,000. The county also saw a decrease in closed sales by 25.3 percent. Last month the county saw 180 homes sold compared to 241 in 2019.
“This is understandable as it was necessary to postpone some closings,” said Jarrod Lowe, President of Broward, Palm Beaches & St. Lucie Realtors. The numbers were released for April by the association.
“With the reopening of Martin County, I anticipate that our market will start to normalize over the summer months ahead,” said Lowe.
Despite the downward trend, closings are occurring faster than last year with median days on the market of 37 days compared to last year’s 48 days.
