Two Jensen Beach residents found dead in Stuart park

NOV. 13, 2019 | 1:05 P.M. | STUART– A man and a woman with gunshot wounds were found inside an SUV at Bob Graham Park in Stuart Tuesday afternoon.

Deputies responded to a call about a shooting at 3:44 p.m. Tuesday, according to an incident report from the Martin County Sheriff’s Office.

Deputies said when they arrived at the park at the 3200 block of  Northeast Ocean Blvd., they were flagged down by a man who said he saw a white Ford SUV with a broken window.

A woman, later identified as Carole Daily, 83, of Jensen Beach, was in the driver’s seat with blood on the left side of her head.

Daily was still breathing but had a large pool of blood in her lap and blood on her head, an incident report said.

She was taken to a  nearby hospital, where she later died.

In the passenger side was her husband, John Daily, 87, of Jensen Beach who was found with no pulse. Deputies said Fire Rescue responders declared John Daily dead at the scene.

A black semi-automatic handgun with blood on it was found between the driver’s seat and the door.
