Amanda Webber, 31, of the 7300 block of Southeast Flamingo Way, is accused of two counts of DUI manslaughter following the deaths of Debra Ann Sclafani, 56, and her husband, Leonard Sclafani, 63, both of Stuart.

According to a Florida Highway Patrol report, Webber was driving south on U.S. 1 near Monroe Street in the center lane when she ran into the back of the couple’s motorcycle at about 10 p.m., March 30.

The couple was thrown into the center lane, where a third vehicle, driven by Chakeela Bethel, 40, of Hobe Sound, hit Leonard Sclafani, according to the report.

Troopers said Leonard Sclafani died at the scene and Debra Ann Sclafani was taken to Lawnwood Regional Medical Center & Heart Institute.  Debra Sclafani died on April 29.

Webber was arrested Thursday and taken to the Martin County Jail. Bond was set at $50,000. She was later released.
