Port St. Lucie Police investigating suspected murder-suicide

SEPT. 22, 2019 | 9:17 A.M. | PORT ST. LUCIE — Port St. Lucie Police are at a home in the Rosser Reserve neighborhood investigating what they say is a suspected murder, suicide.

The police were called at 11:03 p.m. Saturday evening from an adult male. He said he had shot his wife and her boyfriend at the home at the 3200 block of Southwest Constellation Road.

The caller told the dispatcher said there also were two children inside of the home. Port St. Lucie Police officers arrived at the house and found an adult male dead, with a gunshot wound on the back patio of the house.

 Police began their investigation with the assistance of a  SWAT team who cleared the house and located a woman and another man, both dead. Two children were asleep in their beds.

A search warrant was approved and is being executed at this time. Port St. Lucie Crime Scene investigators along with the assistance of the St. Lucie County Sheriff’s Crime Scene unit are at the home assisting detectives .

The children were taken from the home and placed in the care of Department of Children and Families. The police are investigating the double murder, suicide of the  individuals. Police also are attempting to notify family members at this time.
