JENSEN BEACH LIFE GUARD POSSIBLY STRUCK BY LIGHTNING

4:45 p.m., JENSEN BEACH — A lifeguard was possibly hit by lightning Friday afternoon, Martin Fire Rescue said.
It happened around 3:19 p.m. at Jensen Beach, according to fire officials. The call was made by the captain who happened to be at the location.
The lifeguard was taken to Martin Memorial North with non-life-threatening, officials said. It’s not confirmed whether he was directly struck by the lightning.
